Luxair has ordered a fifth Dash 8-400 and a single B737-800 to replace an ERJ-145 and B737-500 in 2010.
It will launch weekly ERJ-145 service from Luxembourg to Palermo on April 4. In other news, it has extended its codeshare agreement with Austrian Airlines to include connections for its Luxembourg-Vienna passengers via the Austrian hub in Vienna to Eastern Europe. It has given up its direct one-stop Saarbrücken-London City and Saarbrücken-Rome Fiumicino routes.

Note: Luxair being well connected with Lufthansa could be a new partner for Brussels Airlines. Where are the days when Sabena was flying to LUX several times per day?

However I do not know if a BRU-LUX connection will be back in the future.
FRA-LUX is has further daily connections and African passengers would prefer to travel directly from Brussels Airport as Luxembourg is only at 2h30 from BRU.
