Re: Charleroi Airport (CRL) latest news
I wonder a little bit about Ryanair´s expansion in Italy, because Ryanair often criticizes the "italian strike-culture" and announces to take consequences. However, every new routes is good news for CRL

This morning, it seems to be very busy at charleroi airport. Does anyone know, why flight FR022 from Dublin EAT 09.50 will be diverted to Beauvais (can´t believe my eyes!?!
Re: Charleroi Airport (CRL) latest news
Ryanair need 700m runway visibility for Beauvais so it's probably below that. It's quite common for Beauvais at this time of year but with the clocks changing tonight should help a littlenightflyer1980 wrote:

Re: Charleroi Airport (CRL) latest news
Hi all,
I just got the notion that my Ryanair flights CRL - Gdansk - CRL are cancelled.
All flights to GDN between December 19 and March 28 are said to be cancelled.
This route was lauched only a few weeks ago. Did it really perform so bad? What about those other new destinations?

Re: Charleroi Airport (CRL) latest news
That's sad because Gdanks is such a wonderful touristic town, so much to see in 3 days, perfect for a city trip... Does anyone know what happened?

Re: Charleroi Airport (CRL) latest news
Dont know it exactly, but I think yes, because now, the new charleroi-based Jetair plane has not reached its maximum rotations per day, e.g. today back home in charleroi from route CRL-TFS-LPA-CRL at scheduledstefanel wrote:Also operated by OO-JAF ?
19.25 h let space for another rotation (starting route at 6 h instead of 8 h, arrival than 17.25 h) - enough time for a return to Tunesia.
Concerning the just started new routes to/from Charleroi seemed really be flown by planes from other bases, so unfortunately, we will not get an additional plane, I think

The -800 of Jetairfly can change from time to time.
LGG and OST are also bases of Jetairfly and get different planes (-500/-400/-700) in a week.

Looks like ryanair is using the bad health of Alitalia
I would not be surprised to see a new route to Palermo also ...
Very good for CRL ... they'll continue their very fast grow

CRL closes at 23h, doesn't it? Didn´t know that Charleroi closes at 23h also for based aircrafts.Buzz wrote: CRL closes at 23h, doesn't it? Is 5 hours enough for a roundtrip to Tunesia?
So you are right! Sorry...
JAF punctuality was not so good in the first days of operations from CRL.
Hope it´s getting better in the future, but at the moment, there is not much good news
from JAF (e.g. standed passenders at Tel Aviv Airport since several days...)
Re: Charleroi Airport (CRL) latest news
All I have to say about the JAF delays is people ARE being taken care of, they are being put in hotels and JAF is doing the best they can to make the inconvenience as small as possible.
Also, the first cancelled TLV flight out of LGG was able to fly after a few hours but then sabbath kicked in and the clients were not allowed to travel due to religous problems.

Re: Charleroi Airport (CRL) latest news
CRL remains open to landings after 2300 for aircraft based there. Not on a regular basis, though - only if it's a casual delay. Flights are all scheduled to land at CRL before 2300 - the last FR flight is sometimes scheduled for arrival at 2259 ...nightflyer1980 wrote:
