06/10/2008 - National Strike Belgium

Post by Rogerb »

which airport will be closed tomorrow because of national strike?

LGG is closed from 05OCT08 2200LT UNTILL 06OCT2008 2200LT

Where will all LGG flights go to? for example all TNT and other cargo flights?

What about BRU/ANR/OST/CRL, also closed because of national strike?

kind regards

At CRL, they advise the passengers to reach the airport 3 hours before departure; anticipate no strike inside the airport and all flights to depart - but there could be pickets outside :

Very probably, yes. But rather off-topic, I'm afraid.

there is not pax flight at all planed for monday on the website of liegeairport.
Doesnt tell if they are canceled or diverted ...

And no info about cargo.
I'm not sure MST would be able to manage so much cargo ... hard to say what will happen ...

All TNT aircraft left just before 2200hrs. One Sky Europe 737 and Air France A300 cargo plane landed just before the airfield closed and will probably be stuck there until tomorrow 2200 hrs.

Why were the Skyeurope there? If it had a problem in the neighbourhood, that would be the worst bad luck ever...

According to RTL-TVI :
LGG on full strike to-day; pax flights to go to MST; cargo flighs will resume after midnight.
No strike at CRL and BRU. But no or few trains, TEC, STIB/MIVB, De Lijn buses to reach or leave these airports ...

It flew under the Air France callsign, didn't check the actual company.
