Re: Cargo B Airlines: aircraft in maintenance
I overheard a conversation of a cargob crew outside the crew center talking about crews being made redundant and some being fired already. Seems to be odd if they get more airplanes.

Re: Cargo B Airlines: aircraft in maintenance
The problem about the crew is due to the 3 man cockpit becoming a dual one !! They have about 23 flight engineers, I let you imagine if they phase the classic out...

Re: Cargo B Airlines: aircraft in maintenance
Where is this B747-400F coming from? Is this a wet lease from some other company?
Rumours said it was a new one but getting a slot with boeing at such short notice seems impossible....
Let s wait and see (again)

I'm surprised they always talk about the cargo routes to South-America (B747-400) and the two other B747-200 as back up and charters. They don't talk anymore about their two - three flights a week to Africa.
What's going on with this route?

Re: Cargo B Airlines: aircraft in maintenance
Routes to Africa have been suspended since end of June. Reason: too low yields. They will concentrate on markets in S-America and will focus in the (near?) future also to Asia.Atlantis wrote:I'm surprised they always talk about the cargo routes to South-America (B747-400) and the two other B747-200 as back up and charters.
