NUE,HAJ and /or STR would have been great regions to have one ot two aircraft based.But those considerations are useless anyhow,sine they will rather cut in flight-destinations than increase ..
I do not think Germany is the largest market for Central and Eastern European flights. I guess this will be the UK and Ireland as (1) much more Eastern Europeans went there to work (Germany until now still has limitations in place on the free movement of people from Eastern Europe!!) and (2) for people from Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia it is very often possible to go by bus in a reasonable time to many place in Germany and that is even cheaper than LCC's.
And finally, LH is fighting hard against any LCC trying to enter in its market, and they have the money and the power to win such fights PLUS slots at attractive German airports are not easy to obtain. NUE, HAJ or STR are all towns with roughly 500'000 inhabitants or even less and with no soo big catchment areas in terms of people. You cannot compare them with BRU, AMS, VIE, etcetera. It simply would not work. PLUS, finally, a number of German LCC's have based their planes at exactly those airports already, so HEAVY competition on the few lucrative routes.
In two words: forget it.
