Weather seems finally brightening up. On October 5, the first nice gaps of this month.

I was very happy to see once more a Jumbo of JAL, even a special one.

UZ703 @ 1547LT: Japan Airlines B747-400 JA8915 cruising at 36000 ft enroute Tokyo-Paris as JAL405

Furthermore the one below seems more like a postcard

UL608 @ 1624LT: Lufthansa Airbus A340-600 D-AIHM cruising at 34000 ft enroute Munich-JFK as DLH410

And finally another "heavy" on UZ703 @ 1813LT: Korean Air B747-400 HL7461 cruising at 38000 ft enroute Seoul-Paris as KAL901

Again some great shots James, KLM's are pinsharp, well done.

Past weekend again nice conditions to shoot dot pictures, unfortunately no time as on duty.
Therefore, when the night did fall I put the scope outside. Why? Because the ISS is crossing almost the zenith every evening.

Picture, taken on October 14 around 2030LT, is a composition of 4 separate onces taken with my scope at 1200 mm, iso 1200, shutter speed 1/400 sec. From left to right, up to down, events of 1.5 minutes. The oranje objects are the solar panels.

The white Jumbo is definite 4X-ICM. That Sunday this airframe was operating as ICL982, a flight normally connected EBLG-KJFK, however is was logged as climbing in Belgian airspace at 0320 UTC. Perhaps it made a stopover somewhere else in Europe?

On Friday, I took a trip to the CPT (compton) VOR, which is one of the busiest airspaces in the whole of the UK, intersecting many airways including UL9 and UL607. Unfortunately I didnt have any flight tracking equipment so I dont have any flight numbers.
