Nice work !
One thing I have noticed: I can only get B737-800 if I say it has winglets, and the plane I tried it on (Ryanair) doesn't have them, like many other NG's...Maybe you can change the message at the end, to " the plane you see is probably a ..." (just untill it's 100% ok  )
If I see things you can improve, I'll let you know.
But WOW, great work! I have added it to My Favorites, I'm going to use this...

How about uploading the necessary files on www.luchtzak.be so the entire worldwide aviation community can share your program ? Of course below the aircraft identifier there will be a nice url-forwarding to your website

For example placing it on: www.luchtzak.be/aircraft_identifier.html ?

That is a fascinating, and fun, addition to the site.

Just one point - for prop with wings on top and bottom tail stabilisers I got the Fokker 50 - which is correct, but it could also be a Fokker 27 I wanted to identify, and this is not in the list (there are minor differences such as the F27 having a four bladed prop as opposed to the 6 blades of the F50, and the F27 having fewer but larger windows and the F27 has a single nosewheel, whereas the F50 has a double nosewheel).

It is a good idea though, I like it!

Comet, the F27 is not added yet. But i will first try and finish the tool b4 adding any new types.

to all: the newest version (beta2) can be found at https://www.aviation24.be/aircraft_identifier.html from now on. Changes in this new version are all things that have been discussed in this topic. Again, please go ahead and test, and if anything looks wrong: please mail me!!

Did you know that out of 57.000 other possible searches your 'aircraft identifier' comes on first place Matthias ?

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... gle+Search

And mosty likely the url to www.luchtzak.be/aircraft_identifier.html will be indexed very very soon 8)

Every day hundreds of people visit the website, if you check this link you will see that in 9 days 2.119 people visited via www.google.com !!

https://www.aviation24.be/gate.html?name=M ... 2&screen=3

But then you have also www.google.be , www.google.co.uk , etc... and don't forget www.yahoo.com

It can only improve the website

I find that Google is the best search engine to have a link on, I have my site listed on there and I get many hits from it (as well as from Luchtzak via my home page link).

maybe almost impossible to do... but I'll give it a try... pictures to see if you're result is right.
Might be helpfull for those "Aviation Recon Dummies". I often have to help some of my collegeus if they want to tell me what aircraft they have seen... As they are complete dummies, this is sometime a hard job  .

But nevertheless... Keep up the good work !
