It's not easy to find good spots near LCY. I found some, but all of which were far from perfect.

You spotted the VS at LCY too ?

If yes, the planes for LHR are still high in the sky or not ?

@spotter1102: the sky above London is full of planes, approaching/taking off from several airports. This one was particularly low (by low I mean that I could take photo of it using 300 mm lens) and just above me, but it's not a rule. Planes are on various heights, and on various paths. Also note that A340-600 is of significant size.

It seems indeed difficult to have a good angle from anywhere at LCY. Congrats for your 346!

three last one are not that bad. the place was decent (but I was unlucky, and there were not many take offs)

LCY is one of the easiest places in Britain to take photos, I've used the airport several times and the videos and photos I've got there are usually spot on. It's better than that theme park known as the Aviation Viewing Park at MAN.
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.
