KLM again expands with Panama route starting March 2008

Post by blueswan28 »

KLM will (re)-start the Panama route with a direct flight from Amsterdam 3 times a week commencing on March 30th 2008.

KLM already flew to Panama from 1949 till 1998.

They want to reinforce their position on the Latin American market; KLM considers Panama being one of the strongest growing economies in the region.

For connecting flights out of Panama KLM's customers can use the COPA Airlines network. This panamese airline has recently joined Sky Team as an "Associate Member".

The new KLM flight will be flown by Mc Donnell Douglas MD-11 equipment, offering a total of 294 seats; 24 in World business class and 270 in economy class.

Flight KL757 will depart from Amsterdam on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 13:30 and will land at Panama City at 17:40 the same day. The return flight KL758 leaves Panama on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 19:35, with a planned arrival at Amsterdam Airport at 13:10 the next day.

At the same time (summer 2008) KLM introduces daily flights to Dallas-Fort Worth by A330-200, in cooperation with their usual partner Northwest.
