Brussels Airlines and Jet Airways combine their FFP
Brussels Airlines and Jet Airways signed a contract by which they combine their respective frequent flyer programmes (FFP): passengers on Brussels Airlines can now earn miles on the whole network of Jet Airways flights and vice versa.

I don't have any travel on 9W planned in the near future, but if I had to fly with them, I would put my miles into my AF-KL Flying Blue account. Although I find AF-KL to have become lousy airlines, their Frequent Traveller Program is good, far better than SN Privilege. If you're an active member in Flying Blue or Miles-and-More (LH), it might not be a bad idea to have your 9W put into these accounts, since I'm very pessimistic about b.air's future (and consequently about the future of their FFP). What will we do with SN Privilege miles if most of their flights (or the airline) is grounded because of a lack of pilots (or bad financial results) ? I know, this is not very nice of me towards b.air, but they only have themselves to blame for the bad atmosphere they have created.
In favor of quality air travel.

You are right - * alliance Gold or 1K does not work in Brussels but it does in other airports (US, Canada, Zurich which I tried latetely). The bad news and this is totally absurd is that Privilege Patinum card will not give you access to the fast lane in any airport - even in BRU - but it says otherwise on the web site - you need to ask for a sticker at BRU check-incodo wrote:Forget it. At Brussels Airport fast lane , when you are a LH senator member you don't pass the fastlane. Only Eurobonus from SAS , although SAS and LH are both part of star alliance.Ducatibiker wrote:*Alliance

I tried. The check in person had never heard of the this. The supervisor had heard about it but had no sticker. He suggested to talk to the girl seating in front of the fast lane. I then check with the Brussels Airlines Ticketing...the man seating on the very right told me that only b.flex passengers have access. I invited him to check on the web site. His answer was that he had no time for that....
I know detail, detail...

I'd like to share my experience with privilege with you as well,
All my familly is gold,(5 of us)and i'm flying regularly Etihad to come back to Belgium.
When it's time to buy the ticket, i always take it from SN,meaning that my flight number is a SN flight, and therefore the money i pay sometimes months before the flight, goes to SN pocket...
I was quite disapointed that they refused me the access to the lounge, claiming i was not flying on a SN flight, altough the ticket was issued by SN,and the flight number also was SN....
Whats the purpose of being Gold with SN then????
***edit to BA>>>SN****

Dear Luchtzak guests, to avoid confusion, please don't use BA for Brussels Airlines, in the airline industry BA is widely known to stand for British Airways (or as some will say Bloody Awful).
As regards denied access to the security fast lane at BRU for LH Business pax and Star Alliance elite members, I think it's probably due to LH not wanting to pay for it (only a guess, but maybe a good one).
If I remeber well at VIE there is a security fast lane for all Business pax, but at other airports (including LHR Terminal 1 at least) it is limited to airlines which are prepared to contribute to it financially. Or am I wrong ?

I just re-read the rules on the web site regarding access to Gold and indeed, you have access
Eglish text: "when flying Brussels Airlines"
French text "en voyageant"
Dutch "op alle vluchten'
Although the three notions are different, it does not say that they flights need to be operated by Brussels Airlines. The fact that you are ticketed by Brussels Airlines is good enough for me.
I would definitively write and complain that you were not admitted to the lounge with a Gold Card !

Desert Rat,
I am also privilege gold. I had never this problem, even if flying a partner airline (as long as you have a SN flight code). Only platinum members will also gain access when flying on another airline without SN code ...
Maybe you looked suspicious
Did you show your privilege gold card? I was denied access once (not in BRU) not having it with me. On another occasion I forgot it but I could give my number so they let me in (BRU) ... I even several times got in with my wife ánd children which is normally not allowed since you can only take one guest. (But I guess my daughters looked so charming that they could not decide otherwise ...
)
Regards,
Danny
