TAM daily from Rio to to Frankfurt

TAM will begin a new daily flight to Frankfurt, Germany on November 30, in codeshare with Lufthansa. The route will be operated by the modern Airbus A340-500 aircraft, which will be delivered to the Company by the end of October. The new aircraft will be dual class (Business and Economy), with 267 seats.

and from Nov. 14th, TAM and AA will cease frequent flyers programs exchanges.
TAM is already code-sharing with TAP, now with LH.

Varig has left Star Alliance. Is TAM thinking to join it ?
