Went spotting at Geneva airport and used an Easyjet A319 as transportation from Brussels to Geneva , the weather was very fine with a clear blue sky and 23-25 degrees.
First we had a 2 hour long platform tour by bus on which we only had to shout 'stop' to our guide to stop near the planes we wanted , we even were able to stand on a very close distance of a taxiing Saudi Arabian T7 after taking photos of the parked planes we went to a place situated at only some meters of the taxi and runway , after our bus-tour we went to the spotters-hill where we stayed the rest of the day , on with the photos
First some bizzers for which the airport is well known
Some stored bizzers parked somewhere on a parking
Me standing in front of the Saudi T7 clear to taxi after it's push back
Very nice, sir, thanks for sharing!
I am a bit puzzled by Farnair: do I see it's an F27, not an F50, given the 4-bladed props? Hungarian registered, isn't it? What is it doing there?
Thanks for all these interesting documents on what was my home airport for 5 years (1993-1998). The airlines have changed quite a bit (GVA used to be the main Swiss airport for the African flights of Swissair!).
I know a few more spotting places, especially on the French side of the border. And I could also spot from my home (in Ferney, France) which had a terrace with a magnificent view on the planes taking off with the Mont Blanc in the background...
Went spotting at Geneva airport and used an Easyjet A319 as transportation from Brussels to Geneva...
On monday the 26th of november this year I will fly with an Easyjet A319 from AMS to Geneva and backwards...
What kind of traffic can i look forward to?
First we had a 2 hour long platform tour by bus
Is this platform tour daily or occasional?
Groets,
Dennis
Traffic is partly airliners and lots of bizzers , it can be busy at some moments , believe me
About the platform tour , I can't help you on this , try to contact the airport , I went there with a spottersgroup and it was not me who organised the whole thing
