Found this on A.net - apparently, a press briefing was held yesterday by Mr. Goyal, also briefly touching upon the BRU plans ... He now mentions 8 destinations in India to be connected with BRU ...
(excerpt copied below)
From Naresh Goyal's press briefing yesterday.
Loads on BOM-EWR are 95% and EWR-BOM are 50%
9W claims 25% of India-UK market despite being an O&D carrier
Difficulties in getting slots at AMS, FRA and CDG
JFK starts 28/10
BOM-PVG-SFO in Feb
8 flights to BRU - additional stations will be MAA. BLR, ATQ, AMD, CCU and HYD
All 10 original 777-300ER's to be delivered by March 2008
All 330-200's to be delivered by October 2008
Three additional 777-300ER to be delivered by mid-2009
Looking at firming up seven additional 777-300ER and 10 additional A330-200's and also exploring conversion of 10 787 options and upgrade to -9 instead of -8
More 737's on the cards and IFE to be installed across domestic 'owned' fleet
Looking at starting services to West Asia - Doha, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bahrain and Kuwait. Excited about starting services to Iran and looking at tie-up with El Al for services to Tel Aviv and beyond. Exploring the possibility of a DEL-MXP-LAX service by end-2008. Also looking at BOM-JNB service next year.
S2 to replace two CRJ-200 with CRJ-900 aircraft soon!

At this moment its 5 days a week. They don't fly on Tuesday and Thursday.spotter1102 wrote:The current DEL-BRU-YYZ flight is operated daily or 5 / weekly ?
Jet Airways website and the newspaper "Metreo" says 5 / weekly but Brussels Airport says daily ???
BTW: I read this week in the newspaper that Jet airways is building the most modern lounge in the world on the fourth floor of the B-pier. 500 square meters of wellness, restaurant with 12 employees, business rooms, etc.
If this keeps going it will soon be Jet Airport instead of Brussels Airport!Atlantis wrote:At this moment its 5 days a week. They don't fly on Tuesday and Thursday.spotter1102 wrote:The current DEL-BRU-YYZ flight is operated daily or 5 / weekly ?

Naresh Goyal was in Brussels today. During a press conference he explained more on Jet Airways plans:
- Besides the already 5 + 5 flights from India - North-America he mentions Hyderabad and Vancouver.
- He wants to promote Belgium for Indian tourists and even will build his own hotel (at least thats the plan).
- It is estimated that Jet Airways could create 1000 direct and 2000 indirect jobs.
