The safest seat on an airplane

Post by FLY4HOURS.BE »

Have you ever considered when boarding, what seat would be the safest in the event of a crash?

The answer is here:

So the pilots seat is the most unsafe :d

Sounds promising when you plan to become a pilot ;)

Old US Forest Service pilots have a saying. "The pilot is always the first on the scene of a crash!" First class is generally second, followed by coach.

The odds of surviving a crash doesn't mean the seat at the back of the airplanes are safe. This is two different thing altogether. A safe seat means you will escape all injuries in the event of a crash, which is impossible. Now Popular Mechanics could have done better with an article entitle, "which seats give you the best chance of survival in the even of a crash."

Dunno about which seat but I'd suggest flying with CSA.

All their aircraft are OK- and they're all Czech pilots !

OK, not a recent one but ...

I don't think that it is a pilot's intention to crash in the first place...those are things you might better not think about before starting with something :D.

Best regards: Yannick ;)

You of course have to pick what type of crash you are going to be in, then you can pick the seat with the best chance.

Also, in many cases, there is not safe seat.

Fly good airlines and ensure your aviation authorities are on top of things.
