Hi!
I'll be taking flight SN3695 to BCN on august 30, returning on SN3706 on september 2. Acording to checkmytrip.com, the outbound flight will be operated by a 737-300 from Brussels Airlines Fly, and the inbound flight will be operated by a Brussels airlines A319.
Now I was wondering if anyone knows which birds will operate my flights, and as i plan to use the internet check-in, if anyone knows which are the best seats in the house? I'm flying B-light
thanks
Best seats on SN 737-300 and on SN A319?

The man says he 's booked in B'Light
Well, he can still crawl his way through the B'Flex section, but beware!! F/A can throw you out of the plane at anytime
Just kidding. Yeah try to be very in front or very in the back. The wings and their engines do disturb if you wanna enjoy your take-off & landing.
Make sure you take a window seat, so you can lean on the fuselage

Indeed, especially on the 737, the seat pitch is horrible in the back!
Front rows are okay though,
The history of this reads a bit like the history of the airline really.
The configuration still dates from the times when then EBA operated charter flights, and used to cram as much pax in their planes as possible. They then re-invented themselves as VEX, but obviously didn't offer more comfort, being a low cost airline.
VEX then started to operate some flights for Sabena and was demanded by Sabena to increase the pitch in the front cabin for the Sabena pax which it transported, but the back rows again remained unchanged.
After the bankruptcy of Sabena, the configuration didn't change back to the original one yet VEX simply offered the more comfortable front rows to pax willing to pay some extra for it.
Now that they have 'merged' with brussels airlines, they reserve them for the b.flex pax (if any
) and the b. light pax are still 'enjoying' the comfort of truly cattle class seats!
I don't know if it is really that difficult to reconfigure a plane (looks like it is, from the reluctance to do so which I have come to explain in the above overview), but still b.air should definitely get rid of a few seatrows to offer better comfort on the 737 to all of their pax, since there is a noticable difference between what you get as b.light pax on the 737 vs the RJ/A319, something which I find totally unacceptable really!

Hi CSB!
It depends on what you REALLY want: best seat or best view??
Best seat on 737-300 is definitely 12A or 12F when in b.light economy as these are next to the emergency hatch and you do NOT have any seat in front of you. More, you can still recline the seatback! But the view is s**t (excuse my french
)
Other good seats are indeed the front section of the plane up to row 9 (10 + 11 you can't recline because of the overwing exit).
Try to stay off the last row (=24) cause that one is really horrible. No legroom at all and no possibility to recline your seat.
By the way, if you want to check in online... the emergency exit rows are blocked for online check-in to prevent unfit people to take those seats as they can not be occupied by elderly, disabled, frail pax or children. So if you'd like to have 12 A-F you'd better go early to the airport and ask those seats at check in personally.
Enjoy the trip!
