That flight is done by OO-SFO.
No sign of SFN in the system yet.

SFN won't come back in service before friday at the earliest. Heavy works to replace the landing gear + validation flight. All this in the heat and moisture of DLA. All thoughts to Sabena Technics guys. Good day.

I think SFN will not be ready soon... the landing gear which arrived in Douala was the wrong one... So they had to wait for the good piece.
There is also a special team from Airbus over there. The work which has to be done is normally only allowed in a hangar and they don't have one, so they had to build something around the airplane. This had to be approved by Airbus.

Guess who is back! Yep, OO-SFN

Tomorrow's flight SN352 to FIH is scheduled to be operated by OO-SFN.
However I don't know when it will arrive at bru today or tonight. Maybe somebody else does?

SN just announced their A330 stuck in Cameroon with very serious gear damage will be grounded till Monday evening at least and as a consequence the lease of the Tristar has been extended...

For those interested in what went wrong:

One of the main gear struts did not correctly fold in during retraction (something it needs to in order to be stowed away in the bay), causing the gear to slam with full force into the belley of the plane, resulting in very serious structural damage not only to the gear strut assembly, but also the lower fuselage!

Luckily the gear could be correctly lowered again after the incident and the plane could thus make a safe precautionary landing, or otherwise, ... well... SN would be facing a total write off and cripling long term consequences for their long haul operations!

Another proof that the very demanding African long haul schedule of SN really can't be flown with just 4 euh.. excuse me... 3,5 planes like they do now for some time.

Article just published in "crash-aerien":

It seems that today all three A333s are flying to Africa again, after the return of the L1011 this morning. All problems over and out?

SN236 should have been OO-SFW. The aircraft didn't leave BRU yesterday.
The delayed SN1203 will be OO-SFN. It cannot leave earlier cause its arrival from DKR is delayed till 18:00. Outgoing flight to DKR as SN1238 delayed untill 19:30 as said earlier.
OO-SFM will do the SN481 to FNA.
OO-SFO will depart to FIH as SN351
OO-SFW remains grounded.

rut-her: No, ABJ is now cancelled according to BIAC.
Summer A330 operations are now turning into a fiasco for B-A. Can't imagine what their new schedules will be with those 4 disaster birds. It's sad.

Update at 12:20h
OO-SFO departed to FIH at 11:17
OO-SFM to operate the delayed SN1203 to DKR

OO-SFM was put on the flight to DKR, because the incoming flight from DKR (OO-SFN) is further delayed (20:00h).
