That flight is done by OO-SFO.LX-LGX wrote:I Think OO-SFN is back in use: BRU announces SN352, coming from Douala/Kinshasa, for arr 08h00 (normal ETA was 07h15)

No sign of SFN in the system yet.

I think SFN will not be ready soon... the landing gear which arrived in Douala was the wrong one... So they had to wait for the good piece.
There is also a special team from Airbus over there. The work which has to be done is normally only allowed in a hangar and they don't have one, so they had to build something around the airplane. This had to be approved by Airbus.

SN just announced their A330 stuck in Cameroon with very serious gear damage will be grounded till Monday evening at least and as a consequence the lease of the Tristar has been extended...
For those interested in what went wrong:
One of the main gear struts did not correctly fold in during retraction (something it needs to in order to be stowed away in the bay), causing the gear to slam with full force into the belley of the plane, resulting in very serious structural damage not only to the gear strut assembly, but also the lower fuselage!
Luckily the gear could be correctly lowered again after the incident and the plane could thus make a safe precautionary landing, or otherwise, ... well... SN would be facing a total write off and cripling long term consequences for their long haul operations!
Another proof that the very demanding African long haul schedule of SN really can't be flown with just 4 euh.. excuse me... 3,5 planes like they do now for some time.

Article just published in "crash-aerien":

SN236 should have been OO-SFW. The aircraft didn't leave BRU yesterday.LX-LGX wrote:Latest news for Thursday 23th August:

The delayed SN1203 will be OO-SFN. It cannot leave earlier cause its arrival from DKR is delayed till 18:00. Outgoing flight to DKR as SN1238 delayed untill 19:30 as said earlier.
OO-SFM will do the SN481 to FNA.
OO-SFO will depart to FIH as SN351
OO-SFW remains grounded.
