First Tu-154 in New Aeroflot Livery

Post by Comet »

Here is the first Tu-154 to be painted in the new Aeroflot livery. I think it looks quite smart.

Indeed, it looks much better than with the old livery.

Hmmm, nice colors. Distinctful

First time I see a Tu-154 with such a nice livery.

LOT colours were also nice on the Tu-154 when they were introduced.

I agree with the comments. The old Aeroflot colours were extremely drab. Of course, if you want to see a really colourful Tu154, then Balkan Holidays have one, I saw it in Manchester.

I agree, this livery really makes this plane look good. And it does not have that "Delta"-ish look that the big Il's (sorry don't remember the number) got with that scheme.

Sure the new aeroflot colour scheme is great!

But one day we all will miss the dull, blue gray colourscheme aeroflot had before, like we already mis the nostalgic CCCP -reg and the red flag on the tail! The one we will always link with the smokie TU's and IL's!

I do like the old Aeroflot colors. I don't think they are dull. I'm just used to those old colors. It's like KLM, I don't like the new ones either. I do like the new aeroflot colors on the "western" aircraft, but give me a Tupolev or Ilyushin in good old aeroflot colors any time!!!

This is my kind of a plane.
Definitely one of the most beautiful liveries in Europe at the moment.
And it looks great on a Russian beast.
This new livery might improve their reputation as well.
Good job, aeroflot.

Very nice drawing MD-11.

I don't know what the chances are of actually seeing this aircraft (for me anyway), I only get to spot in Manchester and Brussels, and Aeroflot don't operate into Manchester (I don't know about Brussels).

We always get a B734 here in BRU, but last week I saw an A319 in the new livery.

It's a shame I won't see a Russian type in BRU, I like to see them for the rarity value more than anything, and they are becoming rarer as Aeroflot obtains more western types.

You can get a Tu154 occasionally in BRU, but not an Aeroflot one.

For my spotting and video-ing purposes, any Russian aircraft type is a welcome sight, I have only managed to capture a Russian aircraft on one occasion.

I will see if I can get to Ostend to spot, don't Russian cargo types go there?

Yes, I went there a year ago and there were about 4 Russian types, and a 747 I believe.

I do like Russian types too, they look (and sound) like heavy metal. I love them  . Especially the Il62 and Tu154 (I guess the only large commercial planes to have "reverse in flight  ").

I would love to see the An225, but the only Antonov I've ever seen is the 124 (in Manchester a couple of times). I would also like to see the IL76. The Russian freighters are the best freighters around I think.

The Paris Air Show is the best place in Europe to see the An225, I think it goes every time. I don't know about Farnborough.

Aeroflot uses their a319 more often I think. The information on the BIAC site doesn't always comply with reality. A few years ago (when the flight was performed 12hrs earlier, arriving at 1200h), they used the Tu-154M more often, stated as a 734 on the BIAC site.

But the new colours look better on the Tupolev than on the Airbus I think!
