The Kin flight is a wet lease for Hewa Bora. Due to the bussy summer, they can't find another aircraft to do the flight. 240 pax are blocked at the airport.

Hope the problem will be solved rapidly.

Out of curiosity, wish one of the 4 A330's is the one being stuck ?

Sorry, I don't understand about the flight..
Is it a HEWA BORA flight or SN?
On Biac website, we can read ALX104 from KIN = cancelled. and SN1??? from Douala and KIN = scheduled.
Thanks for getting more informations.

I think it's SFN. At least according to ACARS datas.
I've heard about heavy gear problems.

Stranded pax in DLA not FIH. ALX flight BRU-Kin delayed by 24h.
Without that SFW as back up (when it worked) the summer might have been an image disaster for bru-air.

Yes but I heard thet SFW was not completely refurbished inside, so maybe it's not that positive for the image :?:

On a lighter note: Airbus should build a reinforced A333EDA for extermely demanding airfields :D:D

It wasn't refurbished at all, it still has its LTU / Air Madrid seating. Lots of platic from the seats not fixed properly etc. However, i't wasn't a complete disaster either.

Confirm. OO-SFM, SFO and SFW were present at the gate today. No sign of SFN.

landing gear needs replacement.
An airforce c130 will take spares to Doula, where the a/c will be jacked to get a new landing gear.

That looks like very heavy damage :? I hope (for BruAir) that it is back in service soon.

Can the Belgian Air Force be hired for such civilian jobs? Should be expensive...

Seems to me that a private plane (e.g. Abelag) might come out cheaper.

That's what I heard from a mechanic. I suppose André (Flahaut) will disguise this an air component training

A landing gear of an Airbus A330 (or even pieces of it) is almost as big as an airplane of Abelag
I would love to see it on a roof rack on a Learjet... :D

And Air Force pilots needs to have flight hours too.
Probably cheaper by BAF than by airbus

Strange things happening this morning: the flight SN207 to Freetown and Abidjan is cancelled, but the flight SN3695 to Barcelona is upgraded to an L1011 (and delayed by 3 hrs)! Is BCN more important than Africa?

Monday 13/08: SN3696 BCN-BRU has landed at 16h05 (scheduled for 11h55), again the L1011.

Tuesday 14/08: the L1011 is doing Dakar / Conakry (SN205 ETD 11h10).

As a general question, who is operating the Tristar? Luzair?

it's Luzair's CS-TMP indeed - as on 14th and 15th August.
