Is of course no point in making a decision.Robin_Bamps wrote:fftopic: Thanks to Bruxelles Air Libre nothing is predictable anymore...
Todays winddirection was unexpected too north, northeasterlies with windspeed >6kt would have switched the rwy. But the weather remains sometimes unpredictable. Furthermore traffic controllers dislike, for obvious reasons, the use of crossing runways 02/07. So if not really necessary, they do not switch.
Which runway will be used today?
which will be used today on Brussels Airport?
How can i find out which runways are where? The're 2 on the " asielcentrum" and 1 on the railwaycorner at Nossegem (where trains split for Brussel and Brussels National)
If any1 can answer this please......
bye for now.....

You should visit rut-her's(from above) website here http://www.rutgerbeyen.be/pages/gids.php it has a guide for spotting at ebbr.
We got northerly winds today, so I would think 02 is active. Unless the wind is not strong enough, then it will probably be 25L and 25R

Hello d_a_v_e,d_a_v_e wrote:Goodmorning,
Any idea which runway(s) will be used tomorrow ( 01/08 )?
Wheater forecast says ESE-wind going from 2 till 1 Bft...
Thanks!
I found this for you wind in the morning coming from South
Afternoon: East
Evening: East
Sow I think the landings will be on 07L and 07R en Take-Offs from RWY 20
Off course IT CAN CHANGE !!!
Greetings,
Kristof
Yep, with these winds and the dispersal plan in mind, that will probably be the runway configuration. But it's always possible that some west or northbound flights take 25R for takeoff according to their weight!Andries wrote:Tomorrow I'll be going to BRU. When I look at the weatherpredictions they predict South to South Eastern winds.
So I 'think' they will land on 25's and takeoff on 20. What do you experienced BRU-spotters think ?

In that case, are the sandhills alongside 25L still accessible by foot ? (I know there is a fence, but can you walk around it ?)rut-her wrote:Yep, with these winds and the dispersal plan in mind, that will probably be the runway configuration.
