Just to give a very rough idea:
sn carried around 3.5 mios pax last yr.
And bru airport accomodated around 15 mios pax the same year.
So I would guess that sn's share at bru airport would be maximum 25%.
You can compare for instance with LX's share at zrh of around 50% (a good show because they come from lower but are catching fast)
Btw bru's traffic is unbelievably 95% O&D which makes it difficult to sell as a hub.
A real nightmare
that MUST change !
Jet AIrways and others can contribute to improve this situation somewhat but the major player i.e. the flag carrier SNBA is still out.

I would say that the marketshare of Brussels Airlines is around 35 %. The airline outperformed last year Brussels Airport growth rate ...
SN and Virgin welcomed last year 5, 3 mil pax (2, 3 for SNBA and roughly 2 mil vor VEX).
If you take into account that Brussels Airport welcomes some mil of charter pax booking inclusive holidays, the scheduled share of Brussels Airlines is even higher...
But no, another round of Brussels Airlines bashing has just started...

Cool, cool correctaircorrectair wrote:But no, another round of Brussels Airlines bashing has just started...
Mentioning snba is not (in my view) BA-bashing, just BA-commenting ...
Sorry brusselsairlinesfan I forgot the VEX recent acquisistion in my figures.
Btw the few times I spent recently at the airport, I did'nt get the opportunity to see much of ex-vex 737 fleet.
11 a/c and none to be seen on the tarmac ?
Or maybe I need to change my spectacles
On which routes are they affected for this season ?
Thx & regards
Christophe

10 aircraft, to be more correct. And every time I go to the airport I see at least 2 or 3 of them. Change your glassessn-remember wrote:Btw the few times I spent recently at the airport, I did'nt get the opportunity to see much of ex-vex 737 fleet.
