TUC is alive and kicking, and i love to fly it, it's comfortable (for my standards). it's nice, and it ... feels! safe

Arrival: 04.15 planned... arrived @ 03.40
woke up @ 07.30 dominican line, and after a nice holliday it was time to realise that it was time to come home again. already packed everything evening before so i could go and have some breakfast, take shower, take care of all the paperwork. and at about 10.00 the shuttle bus to the airport arrived. it was nice comfortable, since it's for a one hour drive
Arrived @ airport somewhat before 11 o'clock, and started checking in, all whent FAST! organisation at PUJ airport was EXCELLENT has to be said! friendly ppl, verry good organisation and clean !!
after checking in we whent trough customs and in about 30 minutes we where at the gate. the gates @ puj are specialy designed for spotters, the have a little place that runs over the tarmac to take pictures of the aircrafts so ... i spotted some

the crew was in the terminal next to us, friendly staff i must say.
and again we could start boarding early. first Transit passengers where asked to the plane and its amazing how many ppl don't seem to know the words TRANSIT ONLY ! anyway after having a nice talk with another couple we got to know there it was time to board, since we had to walk over to the airplane it gave my a nice oppertunity to take some shots !
i was hoping on a window seat but that wasn't so
. we booked in comfort class, nice legroom and digEplayer. i chose to sit at the aisle so i could stretch my legs a few time but... after boarding there was one seat empty next to us so... room enough
after boarding the crew performed a headcount resulting in one passenger missing... after 20 min he showed up and i saw the purser a bit annoyed closing the door. i could see all things going on in front because of the 'good' seat i had
and as said before the crew was nice and fun. anyway as soon as doors where in flight condition we where pushed back and 10 min later captain smet of smets... took us off the ground. takeoff was a bit bumpy but... holliday was over.
soon after takeoff we where asked for a digeplayer and again i took one... but they aren't really worth it. just 3 movies with dutch subtitles rest is all french. i saw the departed in the arrival flight @ puj and i decided to now see Music and Lyrics and a night @ the museam. great movies and both killed some time. after the movies where finished we were alost half way into our 8h and 20min flight, and the sun was left behind us. while viewing music and lyrics we had our hot meal, beaf and rise with a cupcake, not bad but i was a bit sick from eating wrong stuff during the stay so i didnt eat all of it... didnt wanna spend the entire flight in the lavatories
since it was already dark after the movies and most of ppl where sleeeping i decided to take a nap to, anyone lowered their seats but i noticed the man behind me was about 2meters tall so i decided to keep it comfortable for him and left my seat in the up positoin, leaving me in a hard position to sleep but i did get one houre of peace and quiet! after that houre i was quite annoyed by the amount of ppl that where constantly walking up and down the cabin for no reason, even when the seatbelt sign was on because of turbulence they were still walking around... that bothers me alot but ... oh well. just 2.30 min to go inflight i decided to look at some music video's and listen to some music and try to sleep to kill some time. 1.30min prior to arrival we got served a little breakfast, some ham and cheese and a sandwich. dint eat it for same reason as i didnt eat much of my lunch. 50 minutes before arrival the crew had to hurry to get the the food rest and digEplayers and blanckets back. and before we knew it we where going for a rough landing to EBBR.
weather above uk and belgium was bad! i never had such a rough landing at brussels we were shaking violently but got down hard and safe
taxi'ed to the gate and arrived at the gate at about 4.00. unboarded and got our luggage, all that wenth extremely fast again and next thing i know i found myself typing this report and advising u all to go to the dominican republic!
conclusion
@ departure the check in agent was a bit to rude, it was still early but... if he reads this by any chance, get some more sleep next time!
all the rest @ ebbr was good.
plane was always on time, staff was VERRY friendly and proffesional. the plane was nice and clean.
inflight everything was verry good had nice flights, some hard turbulence on the way to puerto plata but ... happens alot
overall score for jetair... i'd give them a 9/10.
it wasn't perfect but who is? they did a great job and i'm verry happy! for the 2nd time i fly TUC and again like last time it was a pleasure. i hope to fly it again next jear to jamaica 8)
