They do create some extra volume by lowering the fares indeed, but don't overestimate this.lcc wrote:Don't forget that LCCs create the demand, so "nobody" can really forecast how a market will respond to some route opening, and I don't think IATA numbers is a relevant figure, even if it could help of course.tolipanebas wrote:Not saying NCL, GLA or EDI aren't possible for EZY, byt they see very low volume on the route (check the IATA pax numbers) so that even if EZY were to take 100% market share on these routes, they would not even fill half of their plane (once daily flight is considered for this)...
EZY will play safe in a first round, opening lines which it knows will do well because they see a lot of volume (i.e. multiple day frequencies); it really is no coincidence they take GVA, SXF and NCE as first 3 destinations, rather than BRS, NCL and let's say LTN (which are also easyjet bases)...
I think the next one will indeed be BRU-MXP, for the same reason as the 3 they took now: high volume routes, which easily can accomdate a once daily (and after that even twicve daily EZY flight)lcc wrote:i think that BRUMXP, BRUEDI or BRUFLR should be possible next EZY destinations
BRU-EDI or BRS is something I think they will be more cautiously launching, maybe only if and when they decide to base a plane here.
BRU-FLR? Make it PSA and I can agree it may be another candidate for when they base planes in BRU....
