Emirate to LUX?

Post by Gate-A1 »

I was a little astonished when I saw in a luxembourg website today that Emirate could use Luxembourg-Findel as a step for Dubai-Toronto and Dubai-Houston flights.

This is not a aviation website but a cross-border workers community. They use to be reliable for their news section.

Icelandair stopped their flight to US via Iceland and the direct Luxair flight was not a success. Is there really a long range market for LUX even with Emirate?

And yes I checked: we are not the 1st April :D

See also website Ethiad (route map) where LUX figures as one of the future destinations. Don't know however if they mean cargo, pax or both ...

Indeed strange ...

Cargo traffic would not been strange as lux is a big cargo hub with Cargolux. I often see Cargolux or Air Atlanta other the railway station when I wait my train to come back to Belgium. It would be nice to see the Skycargo 747!
