a couple of years ago a L100-30 "civilian" did a tech. stop in BRU to fix an Hydraulic leak on one of the propeller, these guy's had almost the same " flying tigers" uniform....
when time came to pay the repair, they opened up a safe onboard the A/C, and they payed with cash money....
They were mostly flying for "some" agency of the US government....

Thanks Brubiac for this info. I'm looking forward to see this beauty.
And it seems that their network will cover a wide range:
Globe Air Cargo is going to cover: Germany, Poland, Switzerland and Austria.
Aero Cargo International: France
Air Logistics: The United Kingdom and Ireland
Global Airline Services: The Netherlands
Express Air Services: South-Africa
Aerogroup: Latin America
My feeling says that this will work for years and that they will grow strongly. Strong partners behind the scenes, they took away good people for other airlines and of course they have the help, financial, of the government.
Aviapartner is the handler at Brussels Airport and Cargo B Airlines will have its own freight building at Brucargo. I don't know which building it will be but I think that they will have soon a whole new one at Brucargo West.

Any idea where both are currently being done?
Who will provide the maintenance support? Lufthansa - Sabena?

Is Aviapartner also handling aircraft on the west side of the tarmac?
What is the purpose of that new construction on the tarmac, close to where the OZ freighters are usually being loaded?
Does it affect the parking space for the aircraft in any way?
Thanks

- I hope it will be Sabena Technics... As a new Belgian cargo company (with 75% of ex-Sabena pilots), they should support their old co-workers with an excellent state of duty.

- Yes Aviapartner is also present over there, with the same services as Flightcare.
No the main cargo are flowers. Looking at the routes they (Cargo B) want to serve they are going head-to-head with Martinair. Will be interesting to see who will win the battle over the flowers......Established02 wrote:SQC is already active on JNB-NBO-BRU and also SN is offering cargo capacity on NBO-BRU 6 times a week.OO-VEX wrote:2 weekly Brussels-Johannesburg-Nairobi-Brussels (starting in September)
What's the main cargo coming from down there? All fruit and veggies?

Good pick. F-GCBK (s/n 24158) is currently under paintjob and should be ready for friday. Interrestingly enough, AF refers to this airline as "Cargo Bay". It explains why I didn't found anything on the net...Brubiac wrote:First aircraft of Cargo B airlines will arrive soon in BRU. The aircraft is ex-AF Cargo and will arrive in full Cargo B colors.
