Big announcement for Dallas Airport tomorrow !!!

Post by spotter1102 »

A lot of members of airliners.net are saying that the big route should be a direct Dallas-Heathrow by American Airlines or British Airways route and one member say that should be a direct Dallas-Brussels route by American Airlines.

What do you think about this ?

Well I certainly hope it's DFW-BRU :-)
But if the americans tell you that it's a new major INTL destination, well I doubt BRU is one, and I'd put my money on LHR

I must agree. Though, if it is BRU, I'm doping to see a 762 instead of the regular 763 _ER versions are NOT being phased out). :)

It could be possible after the open skies agreement. They have probably said a major route considering that Brussels is the capital of Europe ?

The announcement was BA moving its DFW flight from Gatwick to Heathrow.

BA also announced their Houston flights moving from Gatwick to Heathrow on March 30, 2008.

What a crap announcement!!!

"Now you can fly to London all the way from DFW"!!

"erm, but we could do that before - and not too the most heravily congested airport on the planet either!"

Are tehy really struggling to get airlines to DFW that badly that this is news?

Even more strange is that DFW Airport considers this a new route. Thus, BA receives the airport's incentive package which is free landing fees for the first year and 50% off for the second year.

This is great news. It means that BA will translate that incentive immediately into lowering the ticket price. Isn't?
