Goodmorning,
Well, you are not taking the easiest airport to go to for spotting.
All depends a bit of your way of transport and an answer to your questions can be provided if you have a look on : www.kerozen.org.
Please bear in mind that you need to have authorisation to photograph around CDG. Do you already have that authorization ?

Hi!
Actually autorisation is not that problem. I got one for myself few days ago... It took about 2 weeks to it to arrive...

Cameras, spotting and I think scanners too! What a great country, also much more friendly from my experience!

Hello
Cameras, spotting and I think scanners too! What a great country, also much more friendly from my experience!
That's also why they have so much spotters terraces (in comparison to elsewhere). Indeed they are more 'confident' with spotters, they have also seen a source of earning some extra money for the airport (althought you don't have to pay everywhere, and it's never a lot). Only pity that the FRA terrace is closed :( It would have been a nice addition to visit if you're in Germany and you have time to drive to FRA.

Hi there,

With regards to scanners in Germany, I think one should be careful. I don't think it is legal. I visit German airports quite regularly and have never seen a German spotter openly using a scanner. I have used a concealed scanner with an earpiece on many occasions without a problem, but my advice is not to flaunt the fact that you've got one.

Regards,

Neil.
