Brussels Airport cinfirms that Airbus contacted us to perform a short visit, maybe on 26 June, but as far as we understand at this stage there is no formal confirmation yet, nor a schedule.
The A380 can technically land and take-off at BRU without problems, but scheduled operational use needs infrastructure work (broadening shoulders at taxiways, etc…). These works will be executed as soon as there is a need for them. Do not expect to see the A380 make operational use of BRU in the coming years. "

It would be great if you inform us if there is a confirmation and/or schedule!BrusselsAirportCorpCom wrote:Brussels Airport cinfirms that Airbus contacted us to perform a short visit, maybe on 26 June, but as far as we understand at this stage there is no formal confirmation yet, nor a schedule.

What a shame.. Brussels being the capital of Europe and not having the A380 to visit them...I hope this will happen soon....zteven wrote:Yes, it seems that Airbus cancelled the A380 trip to BRU

But Airbus still plans to visit BRU in the very near future to
perform some testing.
I'll keep you posted if there is more news.

I'm sorry, but why is it a shame? It WILL come, just not next Tuesday. I don't see the point of frustration...Zenfookpower wrote:What a shame..
