The perception is of old failing aircraft whether it be an A300, F100 or whatever the hell else they fly. The aircraft type is not the issue....its the carrier. KU use A300 still (I was on one a couple of years back I think, or was it a 310?) but the perception of them is that though not great, better than Iran Air. I just wonder how different the perception will be out of Brussels.....my guess is not much if they are targetting the Iranian expats.
How Iran Air have managed not to have a far worse safety record is a tribute to those that maintain their aircraft. And suggests that the US navy has learned to distinguish between an A300 and a fighter jet in the last 20 odd years.
Iran Air direct to BRU from July 9th

Checked Kuala Lumpur and Bombay: on the routing map it is a direct arrow. But in the shedule it goes over Dubai, and connecting with Emirates.
So no use for us Belgians.
Sometimes I like to read the reviews about Mahan Air on Ciao.de and Skytrax. One thing is positive: no Iranian flight gets in trouble by drunk passengers.
