SN Avro coming fom where at 07:00 am?

Post by sn26567 »

Yesterday I was flying to Vienna on SN2901, an Avro 100 OO-DWJ "Sun Factor" departing at 07:00. When I arrived at the gate at 06:40 I knew something wrong: the plane had not arrived yet.

Eventually the aircraft arrived at 06:55 and departure was 25 minutes late at 07:25. The stewardess apologised for the delay "due to the late arrival of the incoming aircraft". The SN schedules do not mention any Avro arriving around 06:30. Where did my plane come from? A ferry? Nobody disembarked when it arrived.

Thanks for any reply.

The plane stood at the B terminal. No inboundflight was done that morning with OO-DWJ

The plane couldn't come earlier then 06 am because there was an other aircraft at the gate that departed around 06 am. Normal procedure here, in the summertime it's often due to more charterflights.

But, at 06 am there was still nobody to tow the aircraft to the A terminal. As you could see the plane arrived then 50 minutes later at the stand and that's the real reason of the delay.

Thanks for the explanation, Brubiac. The "incoming flight" was indeed late, even if it all occurred on the ground.

100 % both in b.flex (15 seats) and b.light (sopme 80 seats).
