I will be interested to see the A380 when it is completed, but in the meantime I do not want to see more posts which are nothing but links to other things.

I am sorry Comet of having a link to my site on my server with my photos.

BTW it is the only way to get your own pictures in the forum, and I
think you had the pleasure to do the same.

The positive side of the 'url' compared to the 'img' is that it takes much less
time to download the topics. I think you agree ?

Greetings

Lien,

Great pics! Can't wait to see 'da beast'. If you have more pics, let them come ;-). I'm very curious to the result of these pieces of metal :)

I received an e-mail with a picture of the massive wing, weight is enormous!

Thanks for the images Lien and thanks for the forwarding to your webspace, keeps the topics small ;)

However you don't like to see those kind of pictures I appreciate them, I visited allready the Airbus 330-assembly hall in Toulouse but never saw those kind of pictures.

greetings,

Pepe - for your information, the links are a part of my signature, if you don't like that, then that's your problem.

Also for your information, my Yahoo Group is in the top 10 of the airlines category (out of 84 groups, so someone must like it!!) And also my website showcasing my own photos taken in Belgium receives many hits from Luchtzak (I know this because I have a counter which shows where traffic comes from) and my guestbooks have been signed by several Luchtzak members who obviously don't have the same problem with my site as you do.

Sorry for this :offtopic: reply!!

Thanks Lien, please send us some more pictures if you can.
I might go and visit the Airbus factory in Toulouse. Does anybody knows if we can catch a glimpse of this beast on a guided tour?

The law of Bernouilli or something like that, pure physics...

Bart,

Calculations and simulations, ex. When I visited Asco Systems, they told d that they needed to design a special system for the flaps because in simulations they saw that there would be to much noise generated when they should take the design of the A330 flap. When they design an aircraft they use a lot of simulation programs, because the first produced aircraft need to be ok, they can not make 10 test aircrafts. I am studying, process control technics = fly by wire systems ex., and we use also a lot of simulation programs.

Greetz,

Dave

Yeah I know, but imagine you see a whole apartment complex flying away because this is what you will see when a A380 is taking off I think :)

Thanks a lot for those great pictures Lien.

This plane is gonna be HUGE 8O
and we use also a lot of simulation programs.
Indeed Dave. Simulation is very important today, it very presize and cost much less...

Here is a link to the site where the A380 production pics come from. What a strange coincidence that this discussion is also taking place over on "Airliner World"...
