Ethiopian Airlines is going to increase the number of flights ex-Bru from 3 to 13 a week. This due to new code-share arrangements with Lufhthansa, at least three flights, and Alitalia, at least 5 flights.

Euh... from 3 a week to (about) double daily? That would be quite a jump!
So we'll see BRU-CDG-ADD + BRU-FRA-ADD + BRU-FCO-ADD on ET metal?
Or rather BRU-FRA on LH and BRU-FCO on AZ with an ET code?
Or rather BRU-FRA on LH and BRU-FCO on AZ with an ET code?
I think that's what Atlantis meant.
It shows that ET is doing rather well but it would be nicer if ET puts more direct flights out of BRU. Maybe ET prefers to concentrate on its main routes to FRA and FCO or is just lacking of proper aircrafts?

In my post I wrote code-share arrangements with Lufthansa and Alitalia. That means that they put their flight number next to the FRA and FCO of those two airlines. This means more traffic via FRA and FCO and those two countries are, at this moment, already responsible for a high % in Intra-EU (see my topic about the Brussels Airport figures).
I'm wondering if we can see in the near future bigger aircraft's of those two airlines at Bru Airport.
Royal Jordanian Cargo is another new cargo client for Brussels Airport. The carrier will move its operations from Maastricht – Aachen Airport to Brussels Airport. Royal Jordanian will commence 5 weekly flights with Airbus A310 in June, but plans to expand this operation further.

Because Sterling will start ops at Brussels Airport with the start of the new winter season. You will see their timetable at the beginning of October, normally.
The Brussels airport timetable, like all the others, are seasonal. They changed it two times a year.

Still no confirmation on both sites: Royal Jordanian or Maastricht - Aachen Airport. And June is not that far, let us say, three to four weeks to start up flights.

Reportedly SQ is already operating a weekly HKG-BRU flight !

Good job Brussels Airport and specially to the department who is looking for new cargo players.

Their mission was to serve the African market I believe. Then all of a sudden they started BRU-JFK flights. Probably because their partner Evergreen had an empty Europe-USA flight which needed to be filled? Could it be possible that they are focussing again on Africa? And weren't they using space on DHL fligths bounded for Africa? Or has this service stopped too?
ANA will open Haneda as from 2009 for international flights. This combined with the arrival of the new 787's and the capacity problems on EUR and the interest for BE market (high yields, low competition, BRU as EU capital) might change the opinions of the JP management within the upcoming months...
