There will be enough room at all times, some non-schengen countries will become schengen in the next few years anyway, no?
I think an extension of the Schengen A-concourse to the South will be more urgent than worrying about the space availability of the B-concourse. And when DHL will partially leave in 2008 ,there will be room to extend the airport building and non Schengen gates down South in kind of a D-concourse (as I saw once on an airport display at the Brussels Holiday Fair)

They will go to the Dutch consulate to get a Dutch visa that is valid for the three Benelux countries and they will fly to Brussels! :)
A visa delivered by one of the schengen countries is valid for the whole schengen area. Normally depending in which countries you want to stay that country has to deliver the visa but if you are planning to visit more schengen countries you have to apply for a visa at the embassy of the country were you enter the schengen area

A 757 has a wingspan of 38m, that will fit (just) into 1 parking position, but a 767 is 47m if I remember well, will it not occupy 2 parking positions?

Or did I read your post wrong and are you taliking about something else (length or type of loading bridge?

Cheers,

Stij

P.S. @Ghandi: when I wrote 5 parking positions for our friends of Jet Airways and 4 for SN, I was looking a bit in the future when Jet Airways Hub plans were fulle deployed with ten flights a day. I admit, maybe a little bit too much in the future! ;-)

Some stands are restricted to a certain aircrafttype.

For example on stand 201/204/207 and 237L we can park a 757/767, A310/300 and even a DC-10/MD-11 but not the A330/340, 772/773 or 747 due to the wingspan and/or the lenght of the aircraft.
On the other stands like 205L or 206L we can park everything from 757 to 747, there are no restrictions.

I hope it's clear for you now, not easy to explain something like that on paper.

DEL-LAX: 12,896km
DEL-BRU-LAX: 15,486km (+20%)
DEL-NRT-LAX: 14,693km (+14%)

So, assuming the LAX flight would originate from DEL, and it's not really important as only the major cities like BOM & DEL should be considered for direct LAX offer. If it goes nonstop over the pole, you need a 787 or 777 and you may hit the reserves(can't take all the cargo you want, etc.), the last kms are the most expensive to fly, and you have to start your operation from zero but with an offer good enough to attract the precious business customers.
A direct 12,896km DEL-LAX flight WITH passengers and WITH cargo, on a A330-200? Let's hope for a strong tailwind ...

PS there's a nice pic of the Jet AIrways 777 on http://www.brusselsairport.be/en/contac ... irline_JAI

Don't know if all details of the SN-9W codeshare agreement have been posted before, but here they are:

-) Brussels Airlines will implement a codeshare on the Jet Airways operated flights between Brussels-Mumbai, Brussels-Delhi and Brussels-Toronto, NOT on the Brussels-New York (Newark) stretch to protect the code share agreement with American Airlines.

-) In return Jet Airways will put their flight code on Brussels Airlines flights from Brussels to Stockholm, Oslo, Birmingham, Geneva and Madrid and will later on expand the codeshare to more European and African routes ex Brussels, subject to government approval.

-) Jet Airways will launch daily non stop services from Brussels to Mumbai and New York (Newark),operated in B777, with a brand new 3 class configuration (First-Business and Economy), from August 5, 2007.

-) later this year Jet Airways will add a daily non stop service from Brussels to Delhi and Toronto, operated in A330-200, with a 2 class configuration (Business and Economy).

The code share flights are not yet in the booking systems but will be available for sales in GDS as of early June.

Are you sure? 9W is the airline code, but I doubt that it is also the call sign.

I guess that SN will be the only one allowed to sell tickets between Brussels and Toronto and vice-versa, due to traffic rights. But what about Brussels-Newark, if 9W has no traffic rights and SN does not codeshare on that stretch?

I have made a mistake. 9W is only the IATA code.

I found the answer to my own question :
it's "Jet Airways", as simple as that.

By the way, you can find a whole list of callsigns of the following link :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airline_ca ... Call_signs

According to this list, the callsign of Jetairfly is "Beauty".. New heard that one in real life...

sorry for going off-topic...

Maybe it's a silly question, but why isn't Jet flying to JFK in codeshare with SN AND AA and isn't AA using the 767 on another route for example Dallas-BRU or Miami-BRU?

When Jet starts other routes from BRU to the US, will AA and SN codeshare on those flights?
