May 5th, in Sinsheim. 70 km south of Frankfurt,
a TUPOLEV 144.

The Tupolev 144 had a very short commercial life..its commercial operations being abruptly curtailed following two high profile crashes..the first on a demonstration at the Paris air show in 1973.

I always found it strange a Western museum was able to purchase it...
Drove by it a couple of times on my way to Austria, but would love to stop there sometime :)
