Ostend Closure Forcing Planes to BRU

Post by Comet »

Are there any more details about the airlines and aircraft types which have been diverted to Brussels because of the fog in Ostend? I read about the Memphis 707, but what others are there? (registrations would be nice as well if anyone has them  )

Would be nice if U gave a source of this report.
Was today absolutely no fog @ ebos, but i saw an AIA flight from EBBR on the message board. Could be a ferry flight with a DC8-62, the ZS-OSI or ZS-OZV.
Will probable know more tomorrow or so.

Seems correct and has nothing to do with closure of EBOS, i think Suetens conclusion was a bit premature.
I guess it was the second visit of SU-AVZ to EBBR, previously noted on August 14 2001, and this was in fact the last commercial movement of a B707. Of course some miltary or VIP 707's were noted afterwards @ EBBR.
SU-AVZ is the only commercial stage III 707 in service and used to come a lot to EBOS, where i once shot this beauty.

SU-AVZ

B.t.w. ZS-OSI was indeed also present @ ebbr on Nov. 25, flying to EBOS.
