Brussels airlines to Beijing flying with A333

Post by unilitha »

Hi everybody I try to book a return flight from BRU to PEK and I saw near the flight information that the flight was operated by Brussels Airlines ? Are they going to switch with Hainan for the codeshare or is it just an error ? Maybe for the "new " 4th A330 ?

What booking engine have you been using and for which travel dates, Unilitha?

So let's wait and see ;)

Hainan will probably operate flights with an A333? but certainly not SN aircraft...

Hi unilitha, Research is much easier when you indicate for us (because you know these things, we don't...):
Fltno
Date
Airline
O-D (origin-destinaton)

I booked a flight from Athens to Brussels, this summer. The flight is planned sunday 5 August 2007, and the aircraft flying that day (and other sundays) is an Airbus A330!!!

Superb! :D but why A330?

Also Amadeus gave an A333 on Sunday from/to Ath to/from BRU.

Strange if you asked me.

Are you looking at Brussels Airlines'
SN 3245
BRU 08:05 ATH 12:20 Non-stop / 333 3h15min
SN 3246
ATH 13:20 BRU 15:45 Non-stop / 333 3h25min

Noticed the turn around is ...60minutes.

Another one: Malaga AGP operated by A333 on Saturday.

it's probably the 4th 330 (ex NM) that will do those flights as it would start flying charters in April. The turnaround of 60 mins is needed to deboard, clean and board the aircraft.

Greetings

Maybe they'll do some shorter european flights in order to "train" the new crew. Other airlines do this as well. IIRC we got the A340 of IB in Brussels for such reasons in the past.

Gonna be some costly training then...
Unless they fill the aircraft...but that would surprise me again

Different rumours said that the BRU-YUL flight will be launched in 2008. :)
