VLM : L = ?

Post by airazurxtror »

In VLM, what does the L stand for ?
I have not found the answer on the own site of VLM; in other places, I have found Luchtvervoer, luchttransport and luchtvaart... What is the good one ?

That was indeed the original name, but since years the Dutch-owned airline has renamed itself "VLM Airlines".

Hello

If I may correct a little (just a little ) , the L stand for 'Luchttransport' so it's actually Vlaamse Luchttransport Maatschappij , not that it's such a big difference but correct is correct :D

I am indeed also happy that it still indicates the allure of beeing a Flemisch airlines , although in mean time it indeed is just 'VLM Airlines' and they do operate from their main hub at LCY.

Best regards: Yannick ;)
