Virgin Blue to order 6 + 6 777ER's

Post by bits44 »

Sir Richard has indicated his airline will purchase 6 777ER's with option to purchase 6 more.

No mention of 787's for Atlantic as yet:

Actually it is 6+1+6
The one is a lease from ILFC, operation starts in 2008.

Branson is a minor shareholer in Virgin Blue. Toll Holdings is the major shareholder of Virgin Blue in Australia.

The Airline Industry in Australia is certainly becoming very competitive and very controversial, hopefully this will bring fares down without causing a reduced level of service.

Usually when fares drop, so does the service, assuming the service level was high before the drop in fares.

Did Virgin Atlantic order the 787? Can the unidentified number be for BA?

Not officially! and could be?

I've heard from quite a few sources that VA will go with the 787 sometime this week!

BA is apparently talking about a variety of different combinations including 747-8, 777ER's and 787's

nothing concrete yet!
