Brussels : Airport People Award

Post by ElcoB »

This year, a new award was presented – for the airports that have cultivated a strong customer service culture among all staff on the airport, including airline, border agency, retail and security employees.

The “Airport People” awards went to
Abu Dhabi in the Middle East-Africa,
Brussels in Europe,
Incheon in Asia-Pacific and
Halifax in the Americas.

Well my friend, that would be the second pile of pure bullshit in less than a year, wouldn't it? One would almoast think that there's no such coincidence.

It's easy to laugh with the hard work that thousands of people perform every day to try to make sure that passengers leave in a safe and punctual way. And it doesn't work every day off course. But I don't think that BRU performs that bad compared to other airports. Staff is quite friendly I think, the airport lies close to the city, flights are rather punctual and it is a very clean and well-equipped airport.

When we look at the results of both surveys (this one and the one from a few months ago), we see airports like Abu Dhabi and Seoul, which have good reputation. So I wouldn't concider these surveys to be bullshit.

So next time when you feel the urge of sprawling your sarcastic load of emoticons, think a few times before hitting the 'submit' button...

That's the lowest I have read the last couple of weeks. Thousands of people work very hard with an uncertain future. So please spare me your vision about the award that Brussels Airport won.

Think twice before you post and laugh whit the people who served you when you take an airplane from the beginning till the end.

Brussels Airport, congratulations.

Indeed, given the importance of Airports Council International
ACI has 573 members operating over 1643 airports in 178 countries and territories

I never had a problem in BRU so I agree with those awards.
The only problem with BRU is that it's sometimes a long walk.. but that has nothing to do with service levels or services offered.
