I don't know if I'm mistaken or if things have changed but I recall some nationalities, among them Indians, are not allowed to transit in England unless they apply for a specific visa. So UK points would be natural for O&D traffic as these passengers will hold any kind of visa, but for an operation allowing to combine BOM, DEL on one side and NYC, YYZ on the other side, via BRU, it will be easier if there is no such visa requirement.
Imagine that people would need a transit visa to get from one Jet plane to the other at an intermediary stop! Nonsense!
I still have the feeling that BA (London Airways) are interested in SN and a full oneworld membership. BRU & SN are the ideal Continental (Europe)combination to support growth outside the London O&D market and the London area satturated airports. Isn't Jet leaning towards oneworld also?
AA could even put it's code on some of these flights.
