Ka-226 is a great helicopter, soon to be available with RR engines as an option.

FYI : The Kamov-226 has two Allison 250-C20R/2 engines, also fitted in Bell- and MD-choppers.
So Putin is good for the US as well.

Respectfully, I don't give the president of Russia any credit for deciding what engines to put on any aircraft. The engineers and marketing team at Kamov Helicopter get all my credit for their wisdom.

Back to the helicopter, I think it looks like a mouse with a helicopter rotor attached to it.

The photo accompanying this article is of a Ka-32, not a Ka-226. At least, I think it's a Ka-32, but it's definitely not a Ka-226.

I don't mean the photo at the top of this topic. Follow the link I quoted.

Yes, it is a Ka-32, Russian journalists are as lazy as Belgian when it comes to aviation.
