Hi all,
OO-DWL left today (10 Jan 2007) as SN 6003 to AMS and was seen over there in front of the QAPS hangar. So it will be the first Avro to be repainted into the new livery of Brussels Airlines.
Follow it during repaint
http://www.qaps.nl/Facility1.html
I guess we can expect OO-DWL back at BRU after the weekend...
Regards, Robin Bamps.

I'm curious, it's the only type not in new c/s yet.

Are the A333 already done too? Or did I miss this stage?

No they didn't, 'b there' is just the European in flight magazine of SN.
On long haul flights SN has 'b spirit' as in flight magazine....

Of course, I forgot about that.
But there is already a preview of the 330 in the blog of Lila Design.

(but I doubt that the winglets have the b-logo on it like on
this .gif, because the 733's have "simple" blue winglets too)
Remark : this topic is getting "hijacked", as the subject is the
first
Avro in Brussels Airlines c/s now starting its repainting
process with QAPS.

In a normal case you would be able to follow the painting process at
www.qaps.nl , but not now...
would it still be hided by the sn management to keep it a secret?

I wouldn't assume so. AFAIK it was only done for the first aircraft since the scheme was a secret at that time.
And if I remember well it was possible to see the repainting process all other times before, so why not this time

In that aircraft page I don't see anything about the older British Aerospace 146-200s' presence in the fleet. Aren't there still 6 of them?

When repainting a recently painted a/c, will they just paint parts of the fuselage or will they redo the whole a/c?

I guess they redo the whole aircraft as the belly and tail colour are different from those of the SNBA's (belly more purple-grey and tail darker blue). But I hope we can follow the process on the QAPS website, probably OO-DWL will take over the place of F-GIXT which has just received its colourful new FPO coat of paint.

Click "inside" on the blue bar at the top of the page, then you'll see the aircraft is in Facility 1. As work progresses more photos should be uploaded.
