OLYMPIC AIRLINES BRU-ATH 27/12/06 and ATH-BRU on 04/01/06

Post by Johan V »

BRU-ATH 27/12/06 OA 146 DEP:12.30 ARR: 16.40

ON WEDNESDAY 27 DECEMBER I WENT EARLY TO ZAVENTEM AIRPORT, WHERE THE CHECK IN WAS VERY FAST. SO I WENT TO GATE A58. THE AIRCRAFT WAS SX-BKC, NAMED 'PHILIPPI'. BEFORE BOARDING I SAW THE CAPTAIN, THE FIRST OFFICER AND A STEWARDESS AT THE LITTLE CAFETARIA.... THE STEWARDESS ALSO WENT SHOPPING, SHE BOUGHT PARFUM. AND LATER THE PASSENGERS BOARDED. THE CABIN WAS CLEAN AND TIDY. AND LIKE ALWAYS AT CHRISTMAS THERE WAS CHRISTMAS MUSIC ON BOARD ...
THE CREW WAS COMPOSED BY 4 WOMEN WHO WELCOMED THE PASSENGERS WITH A SMILE AND THE PURSER, A VERY RUDE AND COLD MAN.
I ALSO REMEMBER THE CAPTAIN WAS MR. SAVVAS.
I WENT TO MY SEAT, 04F. BUT WHEN I SAW THE PLACES 03DEF WERE EMPTY I WENT THERE TO SIT TO BE MORE AT EASE... BUT THERE WAS THIS IRRITATING CURTAIN BEFORE MY FACE
SO AFTER BOARDING WE DEPARTED. 20 MINUTES AFTER TAKE OFF WE RECEIVED OUR MEALS AND DRINKING. IT WAS FOLLOWED BY COFFEE AND THEE.
THE SERVICE IN ECONOMY CLASS WAS DONE BY THE 4 STEWARDESSES, WHO WERE KIND, POLITE AND VERY ATTENTIVE.
AFTER A 3 HOUR FLIGHT WE ARRIVED AT ELEFTHERIOS VENIZELOS AIROPRT WHERE WE DISEMBARKED BY BUS.

(SORRY BUT I FORGOT TO MENTION THE AIRCRAFT WAS A BOEING 737-400. )

IT WAS A NICE FLIGHT: 7,8 / 10

ATH-BRU 04/01/2007 OA 145 DEP: 09.10 ARR: 11.40

THIS MORNING I WENT BACK TO BRUSSELS .
SO I WENT TO CHECK IN MY LUGGAGE AND TO TAKE MY BOARDING PASS FOR FLIGHT OA 145 WHO DEPARTED AT 09.10 AND ARRIVED AT 11.40. THE FLIGHT WAS ON TIME. GATE B07.
THE AIRCRAFT WAS THE BOEING 737-400 NAMED 'POLI TIS ALEXANDROUPOLIS' , SX-BMC.
WHEN WE BOARDED WE WERE GREATED BY THE CREW WITH A SMILE AND A ' KALIMERA' . THE CREW WAS ONLY COMPOSED BY VERY BEAUTIFUL WOMEN .
BUT THERE WAS A LITTLE PROBLEM: MY SEAT WAS 26A, THE VERY LAST SEATS OF THE AIRCRAFT... AND THE CREW ALWAYS USES THE LAST SEATS TO STORE THEIR PERSONAL BELONGS ( OR OTHER THINGS). SO I WENT TO EXPLAIN IT TO THE VERY KIND STEWARDESS IN THE GALLEY, SHE MADE PLACE FOR ME TO SIT AND SAID ME THAT SHE WILL FIND AN OTHER SEAT FOR ME ( BECAUSE THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT FULL AND NOBODY SEEMS TO BE ALLOWED TO SIT THERE) ... SO I SAT AND WAITED... AN OTHER STEWARDESS WAS COMING TO ME ( PROBABLY TO SAY I MUST CHANGE SEAT)... BUT THE OTHER ARRIVED TO EXPLAIN HER AND SAID: ' WELL, THEY GAVE SEAT 26 TO THIS GENTLEMAN, HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE!' ... AND WHEN BOARDING WAS ALMOST FINISHED SHE KINDLY ASKED ME TO FOLLOW HER TILL SEAT 21F, WITH A WINDOW ... PROBLEM SOLVED
AFTER BOARDING THE SAFETY DEMONSTRATION BY THE CREW TOOK PLACE, AND NOT WITH A VIDEO BECAUSE THE AIRCRAFT HADN'T TV'S. IT WAS FINE...
SO WE DEPARTED AND THE SERVICE BEGAN: A DELICIOUS BREAKFAST , DRINKING, COFEE, THEE ETC...
THE CREW WAS ATTENTIVE, POLITE, KIND ...
DURING THE FLIGHT AND THE LANDING WE HAD ALSO SOME TURBULENCES.
THE FLIGHT ENDED AFTER 2 HOURS AND 40 MINUTES.
I ALSO HAVE TO SAY I WAS A LITTLE SHOCKED ABOUT THE STATE OF THE AIRCRAFT: SOME SEATS WERE BROKEN, THE GALLEY ALSO SHOWED ITS AGE, ETC... BUT IT WAS CLEAN AND TIDY AND THAT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT I THINK...

IT WAS ALSO A VERY NICE FLIGHT : 8,6/10

I also flew Olympic on the BRU-ATH. Their reputation is rather bad, but I was happy about my flight.

First of all thanks for reading my report :)

Well, it's true that olympic has a bad reputation but like you I never have had problems, I always enjoyed my flight, but sometimes some members of the cabin crew could be more polite,

Nice report, but it is not necessary to shout! Please do not use capital letters everywhere.

Thanks.

Go to http://coppermine.luchtzak.be/

You must first create an account by clicking "register" at the top of the page. Then "Log in" with your newly created login and password. Then "create an album". Then "Upload file" (command at the top of the page).

Good luck!

Dear sn26...

Thank you very much for your help, you explanations were more clear :)
But the pictures (about 9) are each too big , they exceed the quota... and these pictures are very beautiful, more than those of the album Bru-Ath-Bru 09/07/06 - 06/08/06 I've made
I'm very embarassed, I'm sorry...
(Or if there's another possibility to send them please tell it to me)

Regards,
