Hello

That spot you marked 'SPOT 1' is that where the plane will taxi-by after landing , because if it lands from the right sight seen from that spot , it wont pass there I think , it will then just cross the tarmac. So from wich side will it land? From 'spot1' to 'spot5' or just the other way?

PS: other additional question for if I would like to go on an average day? Is there actually some TNT traffic during the day , saying between 09:00 en 17:00 in the day? If I might not be able to go I might see it on another day than? Or is there as good as no chance on that?

Thx and best regards: Yannick ;)

Hello Yannick,

There are no TNT flights during daytime.

Once in while one of the QC's might operate a pax flight out of LGG, but not on weekdays during this time of the year.

Kind regards,
GR.

BTW,

Until 12 January, OO-THA will take over one of the A300 routes, which means night ops in and out of LGG.

The first take-off from LGG during daytime will be on 17 January at 12:00 UTC.
This is the first flight to Shanghai.

Kind regards,
GR.

Hello

Ok thanks , too bad. I tought there still might be some traffic at day , but it seems it sucks then pretty. Well guess I don't wont to take the risk , it's quite a distance and a VERY BIG CHANCE there will be severe FOG , EVEN at noon. So maybe when the other 747 (OO-THB) arrives in the summer or when the weather is much better I can spot that one.

Sorry I bother you again with it than but , you say the first daytime departure is 12:00h to Shanghai , is the flight about to depart and/or land at daytime some days in the week/weekend? Or let's say , I know you might not be able to answere on that question right away. Could you keep me updated from that please? thanks very much ;)

Best regards: Yannick ;)

For the flights to Shanghai: departure from LGG is always at 12:00 UTC and arrival at LGG on d+1 at 14:00 UTC

Kind regards,
GR.

Hello

Thank you very much!

That looks very positive that the plane would arrive at 14h LT and IN THE WEEKEND!!! even better. I don't really have to see the FIRST flight. If I can spot this plane one of the next coming years during daylight I'll be a happy man. ;)

Thanks.

Best regards: Yannick ;)

@Bruspotter,

I saw you asking a question in an other topic that is now closed.
You said that you didn't know TNT was Dutch.

Well this is the Story:

Our founder was Theodore, Australian, and he started up an air route for post and little cargo. After some time TNT was born: Theodore Nationwide Transport. So, in the beginning TNT was from Australian origin.

After some years TPG Post, Dutch post, bought TNT and it became Dutch. This year TPG disappear and it also became TNT post.

Our fleet had Belgian, Spanish registrations. So TNT is not Belgian but we have our air hub in Belgium since 1999. Before it was Cologne.

What will the future bring. There are rumours that UPS will buy TNT and then we will became American.
We at headoffice are follow this matter.

So you see when someone came to your company with a big wallet he will buy you. That's business.

This is in a very short nutshell the history of TNT.

Hello

Oh , ok Robin Bamps , thanks for noticing me for that. ;)

Anyway , 15:00h on a nice winterday is nice too. If I wait until something before the time is set one hour further than it's already light enough to photograph (at least for me (only have simple camera , don't really work good with 'evening' light :D)) and yet it's not too late.

And also thanks to Atlantis for the explenation of what I was already wondering a long time: WHAT is TNT? And Where does it actually come from... thanks for answering that questions Atlantis ;)

I also like to thank grnkg for the information about it's probably future schedule wich makes it able for me to spot him in the future ;) thanks for that.

Best regards all : Yannick ;)

There is no reason to land elsewhere.
LGG is ILS catIII.
