I certainly think we should do. Even more... I see it as our duty to help 'Brussels Airport' out of the problems , still being busy with building the site , and help to complete it seen from our side , at least the things we know even well than they do. Like for an example the types , the pictures , aircraft type information for more types (maybe noise rates may be usefull , altough a danger hides there , it can also turn out negative for some planes...).
So I really think we should all together support them in that sort of things.

I suggest that all spotters who have the same feeling about not mentioning the aircraft types anymore ,contact Brussels Airport via the contact form on their website :

As they seem to pay attention for spotters (f.e. the page on the new website), maybe we can make a statement alltogether and see the aircraft types added (like in the past) as a result of our "action".

As written above the Brussels Airport team will implement the "aircraft type" function in a later stage !!Bruspotter wrote: I certainly think we should do. Even more... BTW I don't see why noise levels of the different types would be interesting to put on Brussels Airport's site ? The noise levels can be found by the interested spotters on a lot of sites....
However if the team of Brussels Airport has some spare time they could maybe implement the registration of the incoming planes as additional info. Many airports are doing this (ex.: AMS, FRA). This would be very much appreciated by the spotters community.

I will just go on abbreviating "Brussels Airport" into what I choose, like it or not; serves you right for having found such a fantastic name for our airport.brussels-airport wrote: you stop abbreviating Brussels Airport into BA, BAC, TBAC or other shorthand, and only use Brussels Airport when you refer to us.
With attitudes like that, no wonder some airports had rather not see spotters appear.I will just go on abbreviating "Brussels Airport" into what I choose, like it or not; serves you right for having found such a fantastic name for our airport.
No word of thanks for the promise to bring back the plane types and look into other improvements of the site TO ACCOMMODATE US, no appreciation for the simple fact that they decided to put their time into this, nope, just mindless bitching about a simple request to use the correct name.
Thanks a lot dude

Stict to the legal ones
I'm sure the official abreviations BRU and EBBR will be accepted by all. Others are pure fantasy and may be misunderstood.

Hi
To come back on what you said: "the spotters will appreciate this". Brussels Airport mentions us on the new site , but just to mention we exist , they still don't really have the feeling and the trust in us. We maybe should do some effort to make them trusted with us. We can also increase the supervision aroud the airport. I think it's also a bit to spotters to notice and to report suspicious and dangerous things , or illegal things in and around the airport. (like those people crowling upon really everything , even airport equipment).Anyway , we should let them know who we are and that (99% of us) have no bad intentions at all , even otherwise.
Best regards: Yannick
Cool , didn't knew you could see the reg of the planes at the FRA site , have to check that out once. However if the team of Brussels Airport has some spare time they could maybe implement the registration of the incoming planes as additional info. Many airports are doing this (ex.: AMS, FRA). This would be very much appreciated by the spotters community.
