places to spot

Post by gillesq »

Hello everyone,

I have a little question. If I look on your forum for the best spots, I find dozens of topics. So it's difficult to find the right spot.
Can you tell me where I can see the airplanes the closest.
And how can I get there by car.
Thanks a lot,

Where are you wanting to spot? In BRU the runway end 25L is very good, just beside the road from Kortenberg (I do not know road numbers but that is where we have spotted in BRU).

Thanks, I want to see the landing of the planes very close. Not from panoramaview.
I need to know which exit I have to take on the highway and from then one where I have to drive to. SO that 25R is closed for viewing??

From where are you coming from in Belgium ? This would help us to give you the road indications ;)

In that case, I would recommend the Haachtsesteenweg in any case. It goes along the miltary terminal where sometimes nice visitors can be seen - but be aware of the military security agents, they particularly dislike cameras though I always found them polite. And when you turn right onto Tervuursesteenweg you'll first cross the 25R finals just after the roundabout, and 25L finals the other side of the village.

To get to the Haachtsesteenweg, two options: either follow the roadsigns for BruCargo from the ring motorway, this is the easiest option. Or begin towards the terminal, then take a look at Abelag, from there on follow the airport boundary road which will bring you back to the Haachtsesteenweg, along the Mosselbank.
