Hi all,

As most of you probably already know, an A380 visited DUS today. It was the F-WXXL in full house c/s of Airbus. It landed around 11:00 and left again around 15:15. There were a lot of people but I was there early and lucky to be with the first 500 spotters who actually got access to the Train Station terrace.

Two of my pictures :

And a lovely hard touchdown : http://www.planepictures.net/netshow.php?id=554740

I didn't see a lot of Belgian spotters present, quite surprised me as we'll not see this bird at BRU soon I guess !

Special thanks go out to Paul S and Carl H.

Regards, Robin Bamps.

One of the reasons Airbus decided to go to Dusseldorf was that he not visited Belgium and The Netherlands. This was a kind of a compensation.

here a little report from my visit yesterday to Dusseldorf
it was a very hectic one  the place was overcrowded ( today i read there where over 60.000 visitors 8-O ) and for those who have already visited DUS ; you know tru what small ( and fieuw ) doors and stairs one has to go to the terrasses
my main goal was getting some good shots of the A-380, so i started at the Railway terras to get a landingshot, this wen't well, as i managed to get up there as one of the first ( there where maybe 5-600 people waiting in a loooooong que to get up there ) and i got a good place :P
then i had to dicide if i wanted a taxi and lining-up shot ( and staying where i was) ore, go take a take-off shot at the main terras : i dicided to try and get a T.O. shot.
from then on i realised how much people where at the airport  the trip from one terras to an other takes you normally some 15 minutes ; yesterday it took me 3 and a half houre to get to the other terras  it was pure madnes :!: they had to let people on the stairs in little groups with a lot of intermission between the groups, and only after a large amount of people got down, a little group could go up :? and this senario repeted time after time  but in the end i got just in time to get a glimp of the beast on the ground, an placed myself on the terras to get some T.O.shots; getting to the border was out of question, as there was a wall of people 6-7 rows thick.
so, maybe it would have been better if i stayed at the railway terras, but i'm pretty happy with the result i got :P

first some other visitors

Great photos, both of you :D! First time I see "Russia" titles on a Pulkovo airplane.
