Upcoming integrated SN time table...

Post by tolipanebas »

Although the time table for next summer season is not published yet and a lot can still change, some paterns are already showing through the online booking engine of the brusselsairlines.com website:

-) The useful flying day is expanded with the first wave of flights leaving earlier than it does today, i.e. 6h30 (iso 7H00 now) and the evening return flights arriving back in BRU at around 23h00 (iso 22H30 now).

-) A lot of the midday flights to destinations which see multiple rotations a day have been dropped. Is this to free up planes for yet to be announced, new European destinations which could then be served once daily on these hours?

-) Many codeshares seem to have ceized to exist, notably those with IB, AZ, OK, LO... Anybody have an idea as to why? Are they simply not added yet, or is SN going to start competing head on with these airlines rather than work together with them like they do now?

Also showing in the booking engine: SFX and BGY will be kept, although operated by RJ. All in all, the utilisation of the 737 fleet seems to have been reduced as compared to VEX operations, anybody have an idea of the reasonf for this? (charters? peak time extra capacity?, fleet reduction?)

Indeed, there you have another 737 route which goes to the RJ...

It really is remarkable to see SN will be reducing frequencies to several long term destinations like BHX, BRS, GOT, SXB etc by dropping the early afternoon flight and use their AVROs on ex-VEX flights like BGY, NCE or SFX instead...

This leads however to the interesting question: what are the 737s going to do, since so far I haven't found a single extra flight for them?

Hi everybody.
But you have 3 flight's a day to Lisboa with SN planes.
That's one more so it's 7 flight's a day instead of 6.
Regards
P.S:About NICE it's very smart to use the Avro's where they can with more frequencies and to use the 737 to destinations where the Avro's can not fly. Now Nice is in the HUB system of SN. Also Helsinki will be upgraded to A320.

Sooner or later they will be forced to reduce the number of codeshare partners flying for SN. SN has now two products inside one plane. I don't see how the system can work if you put blight and bflex pax into the same AZ plane with exactly the same service !!

For the new summer schedule I only saw B733 operated by (SN) Brussels airlines on routes like ATH, AGP, PMI, Bari and that's it. Avro's are flying to MAD, NCE, BCN, FCO, CPH, SXF, MAN, BXH,... and LIS will have several codeshare flights with TP's A320.

Strange maybe they still need to tune their timetable, or are they going to get rid of the B737's????

Hi TWA.

Plus like I said before one of the A320will fly to Helsinki so they will need for sure another 737 to replace it.

do you mean that AY are putting an A320 on the route to HEL ? SN dont have A320 , do they ? or do you mean that SN are putting an A319 onto the HEL route

@ Lumumba and Kiwiandrew,

SN don't have an A320. They have 3 A319. SN has always used varible equipment on this route. They used the Avro RJ85 and A319 to fly to Hel.

AY is using even a bigger variable equipment on this route. A319, A320, A321, Embraer, etc.

I don't see a reduction in frequency to BHX and GOT. 5 flights a day to BHX, 4 to GOT. Same as it is now. Same timeslots as well I think.

will they have to take several 737 out of service in summer 07 for repainting and redesigning the interior? Could that explain the lower number of 737 operated destinations?
