MILAN IS FINALLY A DESTINATIOTO BOOK IN CLICKAIR

Post by catair »

In www.clickair.com you finally can book flights from Milan to Valencia.

About London-Heathrow it happens that clickair obtains the slots from Iberia as Iberia is diminishing its amount of routes so it is normal for
clickair to fly to LHR.

And when it was launched (one can read it in faq at www.catair.cat)
it was clearly stated that another difference between clickair and other low-cost airlines would be that it would only fly between
the main airports.

Catair, next week they are starting with the flights from Valencia Manises.
Will Valencia get an A320 or only with the start of the flights to LHR and MXP?
Will VLC become a small hub?

And is Clickair advertising a lot at Barcelona Airport and in Barcelona city?

Vueling , an other LCC is also flying between main airports.

Sorry for all those questions

From 1st November Clickair will base a plane in VLC with this timetable:

VLC-ORY 7.00-8.50
ORY-VLC 9.35-11.25
VLC-FCO 13.00-14.50
FCO-VLC 15.30-17.20
VLC-ORY 18.20-20.10
ORY-VLC 20.55-22.45

From February 2007 will base a second plane to operate route from VLC to LHR and MXP.

THE AD CAMPAIGN OF CLICKAIR

Post by catair »

About Valencia being a small hub, I imagine so. Clearly not all planes depart from BCN. But in catair.cat we do not know much.

With respect to the ad campaign it was said some months ago that there would be an incredible ad campaign and It had to begin in about mid-september...
Prestigious Contrapunto had to be the responsible for the campaign.

But the funny thing is that until now clickair has not made any newspaper
or city billboard campaign, at least in Barcelona. At least I have not seen
them.

To be the "daughter" of famous Iberia has this advantage. Newspapers
have written so much about the creation of clikair that people already know about clickair.

I wonder if they had put any ad abroad. Do Swiss people, for example, know about
clickair?
Is there an ad campaign in Italy?

By the way I have found two virtual sites about clickair and I have put them
in the.catair.cat links.

I think I will put also this forum in Luchtzak because it was my first aviation forum and I like it!

the new ad of clickair and plaça catalunya

Post by catair »

In catair.cat we also would like to share with Luchtzak readers a guess!:

We think that Plaça Catalunya* of Barcelona will be the center point of the new ad campaign!

In www.catair.cat or in

http://clickair.forogratis.es/viewtopic.php?p=1190#1190

we explain why right now, one day before ...

* For about one week there is a very big kind of very misterious white balloon there ...

RECENT PHOTOS OF CLICKAIR ADS IN BARCELONA.

Post by catair »

I saw the picture above in clickair site but not so nice.
Is it in the streets too?

Image

About two hours ago I went through the center of Barcelona in order
to see the first ad campaign of clickair!

In Via Laietana I was quite unlucky but when I arrived in
Plaça Catalunya I saw one taxi with the ad campaign in the ceiling
and I took a picture.

I am quite sure it must be one of the first photos
of a taxi with the clickair ad.

I also took some photos of the strange thing in
Plaça Catalunya I mentioned here earlier.

I have no idea what it is and because I have
a site about clickair maybe I think everything
has connection with clickair and that's the
reason why I think that in
Plaça Catalunya clickair has a big surprise.
But I maybe totally wrong!

I hope you like the two photos a bit ...
of the strange thing ...

Image

Then I went up to Passeig de Gràcia
as I fancied a photo of the clickair
taxi ad and a view of Casa Batlló by
Antoni Gaudi. (the photo I put here)

I was lucky and I could take two photos.
And in one I put here you also can see
the other modernist houses.

You can see the five photos at www.catair.cat

Catair?

Did you already tried Clickair ?
If yes, how is the service compared with Iberia short haul where
you also have to pay for drinks and food.
How is the cabin crew? Better then the Iberia crew?

Thank you for your answers.

sorry not yet

Post by catair »

Hi Airbuske

I imagine it is strange to have a fansite of clickair and not to have flown

with them but unfortunately clickair does not fly to London from

Barcelona ... so that Ryanair and Easyjet are my only possible choices.

Besides I would feel as an spy flying with clickair because I would look at

everything in order to tell visitors of catair.cat ...

TWO CLICKAIR PASSENGERS SEARCHING A QUICK ANSWER

Post by catair »

Hi.

Two days ago and yesterday I received emails from passengers of
clickair very worried.
One is in Spanish and the other in English.

I told them that www.catair.cat is just a site about www.clickair.com
but that we have no connection whatsoever.

Here is THE BIG PROBLEM they have:

They bought early morning flights with clickair.
Those flights were booked for February.
In both cases in February and afterwards
those flights cannot be booked as they do not
appear on the booking page.

One of the passengers told me that he was told by
the call center that the early flight did not appear
because it was already full.

HOW CAN IT BE FULL FOREVER AFTER 31ST JANUARY?

That makes no sense at all, at least to me.

So I went to Terms and Conditons and in article 10 (everything
in Spanish) says that the time you book may change later
but that if they can contact you they will tell you.

I am so astonished!
When I flew with Ryanair and Easyjet they never changed my timetable.

But in this case we do not know.
Passengers are realising that the flight time they have is not longer
for booking so they are afraid that their flight is maybe not leaving.

I also don't know what happens but in any case,
shouldn't clickair try to bring comfort to its passengers?

It is crazy they send emails to me!

Does anyone know something?

By the way the flights are the earlier ones from

Málaga, Barcelona and Geneva

(look 31st January, look 1st February ...)

In

you can see the question from the passenger and my answer ...

I checked BCN - AGP on the 1st february 2007

IB/Click 5719 BCN 07:25 AGP 08:55 320 0 Y9 R9 P4 E9 G9 B9 H9 K9 M9 T9 L9 V9 X9 S9 W9 N0 Q0 O0

IB/Click 5685 BCN 16:20 AGP 17:50 320 0 Y9 R9 P4 E9 G0 B0 H0 K0 M0 T0 L0 V0 X0 S0 W0 N0 Q0 O0

So no seats available on the first flight.

BCN-AGP 1st february 2007

IB/Click 5664 BCN 17:45 GVA 19:10 320 0 Y9 R9 P4 E9 G9 B9 H9 K9 M9 T9 L9 V9 X9 S9 W9 N0 Q0 O0

Same for the flight to Geneva, no seats

So I found the flights back in the GDS, so normally the won't have any problems with their flight.

THANKS!

Post by catair »

Thanks Airbuske!

It is quite funny.

Those flights are available until the end of January.

Then in February, March, April, May, June, ... they seem to be

unavailable!

But Feb 1st flight exist but there are no seats.

Maybe there no seats not because the planes are full

but just because they have decided not to sell

anymore seat ...

It is strange because I have never seen such a thing

in Ryanair or Easyjet.

They always seem to have a spare seat even if the price

is above the clouds.

Thanks a lot.!

New destinations starting April 1st:

  • Vigo
    A Coruna
    Santiago de Compostela

PS - I rent cars very regularly and know now how to find the cheapest rent-a-cars. However I rented a car on click's website last week and it was the cheapest deal ever!!! Probably just a promotion to mark the introduction....

ABOUT EL PEINADOR, LAVACOLLA AND ALVEDRO

Post by catair »

As administrator of www.catair.cat, a site about clickair, I am following these new routes with a lot of interest.

I have been reading blogs from Galizia because for me it was
strange that clickair flew to the three airports of Galizia.

( Do you imagine clickair flying to Luton, Stansted and Heathrow from the first day?)

In catair.cat forum you can see a map with the three cities:

http://clickair.forogratis.es/viewtopic.php?p=1329#1329

From Vigo to A Coruña is about 120 km

It seems that the big cities are Vigo and A Coruña.

Santiago is quite small in comparison (but not in history, of course ...)
but the institutions are there.

In total there will be 12 flights.

Now there is an offer from 20 € (all included) on this new routes
to/from Barcelona.

---
About the comment above I just remember I have looked at clicktransfer
for Galizia and one of the cities was quite expensive nevertheless:

A Coruña 226 euros ( I think for 3 people max)
Santiago 37 euros (max 3 people)
Vigo 285 euros (maximun 6 people)

To end I recommend to read the following article:

http://www.lavozdegalicia.es/ed_vigo/no ... TO=5502979

It is in Spanish and it tells which ones may be the futures routes
of clickair from Galizia.

(Vueling is also rady to fight back: its website is now also in galego or

Galizian language)

There you can read that maybe in some months there will be flights from
Vigo to London Heathrow and to some other Spanish city (málaga, Seville, Valencia)

In fact this February clickair begins flights to London Heathrow from
Valencia and Sevilla.

They are very proud to be the first low-cost in the world to fly to London Heathrow (that is what they say) although they also say that the taxes are quite high there. The slots were provided by Iberia.

In a French Forum I read they have cancelled BSL..
In my opinion they should open NUE( as previously announced ),since Air Berlin does not do NUE-BCN direct but via Palma..

Indeed very poor LF.
An A320 is too big for BSL.
