Thank you for that!

Must say it is a big relieve, because for a second I thought some idiot upstairs got so used to the temporary working name SNV, we would be stuck with it forever (albeit with an -E added to it).

As to the logo:

I can confirm the cabin crew at SN will NOT change uniform (only accessories like handbag) whereas the VEX crews will get a completely new uniform. Knowing the SN uniform has the S logo on it, it is an educated guess of mine the new company (whatever it will be called) will still have the S as well....

What about flysnve.be? The current address of SN is also flySN.be...

SX ?

Post by euroflyer »

I agree with some earlier remarks here, the strategy, the future destinations, the onboard service levels, the frequent flyers programme, all this will be much more important than the name ...

However, it is of course good fun to speculate ... What about "SX" ? If Wikipedia is correct, even the two-letter iata code SX is free ...

Not only Le Soir, but also La Libre Belgique, Belga, Canal Z take it for sure it will be Brussels Airlines!

http://www.canalz.be/fr/Belga/BelgaNieu ... ctionID=11 (French)
http://www.canalz.be/nl/Belga/BelgaNieu ... ectionID=1 (Dutch)
http://www.lalibre.be/article.phtml?id= ... _id=311330

That is strange. The Flemish press was almost sure Sabena would be chosen, the French-speaking press is rather convinced it will be Brussels Airlines.

Thanks webteam for the intervention in this topic, I suggest that we stop the speculations on the new name of the SN - VEX company by closing this topic.

The moment we receive official news about the new name, logo and future plans it will be on www.luchtzak.be (as from next 7 november), I invite everyone to discuss about it by then ;-)

Dear readers,

The web team had earlier decided to close this topic after a long and difficult evaluation of the situation. We did not want to disclose confidential information before the deadline of 7 November, at the risk of being at odds with SN Management.

The publication of this information in the press and television has relieved us from our obligation of confidentiality. We have thus estimated in good faith that we can reopen the topic.

We thank you for your continued confidence.
